Clean Light Initiative

The CLEAN LIGHT INITIATIVE is a nation-wide campaign that was started in 2015 and aims to distribute one million hand-held solar lights to women and children who are inhabitants of villages, tribal hamlets and slums that do not have access to reliable and clean power.

Description

  • Provide clean, reliable and inexpensive source of Light to women and children living in poverty.

  • Prevent health issues and accidents including deaths caused by indoor air pollution by burning of Kerosene lamps.

  • Provide safe environment for women and children in the nights.

  • Provide an opportunity for children and students to read, write and learn after it is dark

  • Contribute to reduction in Carbon Emission, Global warming and saving foreign exchange

Under this program, we have distributed 11,000 solar lights in tribal villages and urban slums in Andhra Pradesh and Orissa.
